What did I just watch? Sailor Moon Crystal was so boring. Is the manga just as bad or did the remake mess it up?Is it worth watching the 90s show?

Crystal followed the manga. The manga was all about Usagi. The old anime which was laden with filler actually used those episodes to develop the other senshi in a rare proper use of filler padding.
