Just finished Tokyo GhoulWhat the FUCK were they thinking with Tokyo Ghoul:re? It was one of the biggest shows of the 10s and they completely fucked it up
No clue. I started reading Tokyo Ghoul pretty late and liked it. I noticed that there was a sequel and oh boy was it bad. No idea how long I suffered coping that it gets better. Drop came before better though.
Ishida clearly lost interest, everything was really rushed near the end and writing was all over the place.
>>282413116He needs to remake it with a good story
>>282412157S3 and 4 were so fucking bad. Didn't even feel like they wanted to continue the story
>>282412157It was a good idea, but something went terribly wrong in the way, probably >>282413116AND TO REITERATE ONCE AGAIN, NOBODY FROM THE SCOUT TEAM KNOWS THE GHOUL HEADQUARTERS ARE UNDER ATTACK
>>282412157First of all you watched the anime which in itself was already a mistake. It's a soulless cashgrab through and through. The first season that made the series popular among normies was considered the best yet it was already way inferior to the manga rushing though 60+ chapters in just 12 episodes. Then they followed up with a stupid as fuck 2nd season. For whatever reason they didn't want to adapt the source material anymore so the author of the manga wrote an alternative draft for them to adapt. The director didn't want that either so they ended up mixing the canon story from the manga with original ideas from the draft which ended in a trainwreck that didn't make sense at all.The TG :re manga had its moments but fell flat especially towards the end with the author noticeably burnt out and clearly tired of the series. The :re anime was a botched outsourced mess that never should've existed but Pierrot wanted to use the series popularity to squeeze as much money out of normies with as little effort and budget as possible so they did it.Music and voice acting was all the anime had going for it.OverallTG manga 9/10TG anime 1st season 5/10TG anime 2nd season 2/10TG :re manga 6/10TG :re anime 0/10 utter garbage
>>282415645If they really were just trying to print money the chances of a Tokyo Ghoul remake shouldn't be too bad
>>282415645Agree with most of it except for Re: which was like a 5 at best. And that is only because the first 1/3 of it was good.
>>282412157>start S3 with an entire new cast>introduce even more characters>don't explain their motivations>introduce even more characters instead>let them fight>"oh yeah maybe we should tell the story about Ken too">end?????what the fuck was their problem?
>>282416505I think the nosedive in story and art quality only became really prominent after the prison break which was slightly after the halfway point if I remember correctly.
>>282416795The manga was already bad with the random literally who character bloat but the anime made it even worse with the terrible direction.
>>282412157>What the FUCK were they thinking with Tokyo Ghoul:re? It was one of the biggest shows of the 10s and they completely fucked it upAoT was, like, 100x worse in that regard.
>>282415645>First of all you watched the anime which in itself was already a mistake.Based.Anime in general is a mistake.Manga >>> Anime
>>282412157I don't know how you even managed to finish watching S4 without reading the manga. What kind of retard thought it was a good idea to adapt 120 chapters in 12 episodes. >>282415215 and then the anime skipped the whole scout team part so that the attack happens during the wedding, what an incoherent mess. And somehow even with everything cut, the fucking Vancouver still line made it in
>>282418162who the fuck is vancouver
>>282418557I AM VANCOUVER
>>282418581 Bur ning
My favorite part of the anime is how they just announce that they found Aogiri Tree on an island and apparently had a whole D-Day over it all offscreen. Pretty bad as far as adaptations go
