Yuuki didn't press the issue for any more information and is somehow convinced that there's no way they'll be able to get along all due to a "well our mom said no so..." answer. We are literally 160 chapters and in the 5th year of the manga and that's all we have to show for the supposed villain's motives, essentially fucking nothing.The weirdest part being yuuki who usually asks questions or tries to figure things out on his own has somehow convinced himself there's no alternative as well. I don't get why he's so hostile towards the gods in general. Yes, they have fought a few times and a lot of his friends were injured, yet ultimately lived. The same could be said about the gods but they're all technically still alive. His sister and the others aren't in any immediate danger anymore either. Then you have everything that kuusetsu's done for him yet he constantly dismisses her and actively goes against her advice. Last chapter is the the same deal. One vague comment from jakuun is apparently all it takes for him to decide they're irreconcilable and run away, betraying all of their good will and the relationships he built up. Again, for what? Shushu wasn't in any immediate danger and he still hasn't learned anything useful outside of the fact izanami exists. He is literally working against his own supposed objectives. Maybe the author is thinking in the bigger picture and has some kind of epic twist coming up but if that's the case surely he could pull it off a little more tactfully. It just feels so hamfisted. Speaking of which, you could say everything having to do with kyouka for the last 50% has been hamfisted as well but that's like a whole other can of worms. I like the series very much. I just want more of the cool and sexy stuff rather than the stupid and contrived stuff.
