Something people dont give Gege credit much is the consistency in powerscaling. He hasnt powercrept characters beyond their capabilities and made everyone as strong they're expected to be. Something I was afraid would happen is Gege having Yuji suddenly soloing Sukuna in the finale but he justified Sukuna losing by having Nobara weaken him thus keeping Sukunas strength despite being going through an entire gauntlet balanced. Most authors are incapable of having characters level up without out of nowhere powercreep but in JJK the characters are shown to be this certain tier and if there's another character beyond that tier the gap stays that way, its up to certain techniques to give leeway for characters to put up a fight which makes the fights much more engaging which Gege thrives in.

>>282468146He's supposed to be a subversive character where Gege was trying to write something clever about how Megumi was born with the potential to be great but wants nothing to do with that greatness and plays that personality straight by doing nothing in the end. The problem is that Gege put him in the sorcery fight manga where his readers understandably only care about characters winning fights and doing cool shit. For Megumi the disappointment is amplified 10x because Gege chose to give him the most interesting and complex cursed technique in the whole story.
