When are we getting another season of her anime? Granted. It wasn't all that I wanted out of such a spin-off, but I'm starved for literally anything like this. Crawler is bargain-bin Deku, Captain Celebrity is discount All Might, Knuckleduster's big fight was beating up his daughter, POPSTEP is a little too flawless(she has initial insecurities, but pulls everything off with ease and is so pretty!), the only decent hero we ever see on screen is Ingenium. Give me more.

>>282454267Play to Deku's particular strengths and weaknesses better, and delay him getting OFA. Deku gets into UA on Allmight's patronage, and its up to him to sink or swim. There are multiple candidates in the running for being Allmight's successor, and if Deku wants it he has to prove that he deserves it. Mirio is one of the other candidates, but introduce a couple others as well, some of which might be antagonistic.At UA, Deku falls into the dynamic that he is kinda shit in solo exercises because his lack of quirk makes it hard for him to keep up with others in a 1v1 fight, but he does fantastically in team fights because his quirk autism lets him analyze strengths and weaknesses to determine the rock-paper-scissors matchups to help his side win. Establish him as a poor fighter but a good general. Despite this, Deku ends up falling behind in the shadow competition. Despite this, when the USJ incident happens Allmight ends up getting put on the ropes by the trap set for him and only narrowly escapes with his life. As the situation unfolds, Allmight makes the snap decision to give Deku OFA and to tell him to run. Not because Deku was the best, but because he's THERE and Allmight thinks he is about to die and cannot afford for OFA to die with him. He survives, but now Deku has OFA but no one feels he earned it and Deku has to deal with other competitors who feel cheated and Deku's own imposter syndrome pushing him to prove himself ever harder than before. So now Deku has OFA and his strategic prowess, which is obviously a strong combo, but he only gets one or two arcs where he gets to be a powerhouse before shit escalates and the villains a nationwide problem. This is a situation where Deku's ability to punch a building to rubble is worthless, because there are simply too many places he needs to be. It falls back on his strategies being his actual power, because managing the response to the villains effectively is actually more valuable than super strength.

They are not just filler characters who exist to stand there and do nothing, they become tools in his toolbox that he needs to find the way to make the best use of in interesting combinations or to exploit enemy weaknesses. This organically gives chances for other characters to get focus arcs and moments to develop them, instead of 90% of the class being completely pointless.Moving things around, I'd probably cut Ochaco as the romantic lead. She and Deku don't actually have any interesting dynamic or chemistry, Deku has better romance potential with basically any other female member of the cast. I *think* that the better matchup in the class would be Momo (strategic Deku and Momo's utility power makes for a very effective battle couple).Also, make Bakugo a hot chick but keep everything else about the character the same. The internet would love it.
