Gotouge actually had the guts.Demon Slayer's finale was running at about the same time as AoT's and it felt utterly ridiculous going from the way Demon Slayer practically took a scythe through its main cast to where AoT constantly gave the heroes ungody plot armour (Yeah, they all walked out of the plane crash just fine, and don't worry, every one of their family members is miraculously alive, and anytime they're in trouble someone will teleport in to save them). And, despite Gege saying that, he wasn't any better, he didn't have anywhere near the grit Gotouge had. Even characters like Hashirama who were blatantly and unambiguously killed during the final arc just turned out to be fine. Nevermind "Oh it turns out Nobara really was alive and she's recovered right now, exactly in time to save the day."Meanwhile, Demon Slayer finishes with almost the entire cast dead or maimed.
>>282446229I still find it comedically stupid how AoT began as a "anybody can die!!" Anime with carnage all over and it ended with nobody doing fucking anything until the very final fight against Eren and like six people in the main cast total dying across the entire series. And one was the girl who's entire character arc was "likes good food". Fucking Ymir died offscreen and she was a superboss in the first half.
>>282446229I feel a series can get a little too hopeless if characters keep dropping like flies halfway through But I remember this manga only starts doing that right at the end, so that was fine
>>282446229>Meanwhile, Demon Slayer finishes with almost the entire cast dead or maimed.Only to take the wind out of it with the reincarnation chapter. If you want tragedy, commit to it.
>>282446560Isn't that how tragedy always works in a Buddhist context? There's always another life.
>>282446229This topic is radioactive. Retards soon will start flooding this thread saying killing characters bad.
>>282446229Mha has elder god tier plot armor
