>>282466958The main 5 resemble the Pandava. They all are half-brothers, have a divine origin (Mitsumasa is Zeus) and Ikki and Shun are full brothers just like two of the Pandava. Arjuna is a proto shounen hero, he's known as the archer (Seiya mean star arrow and wear the Sagittarius cloth). The Pandava share the same wife and the bronze saints share Athena. Also the Pandava hang out with a god, Krishna, that have a clear preference for Arjuna. And Icarus may be based on Karna considering he's Marin's real brother so technically Seiya took his place, he was lost for many years and it's related to the sun (Apollo's angel). In Kurumada's original draft for Overture, Icarus came driving flying chariot and Karna is called the driver. Of course it all could be a huge coincidence
