winter was a sequels-and-isekai season too and I ended up picking up half of the series I did in Spring and Summer, but those dozen or so titles are disproportionately represented in the top tiers of my year end chartat least from my observation it looks like when they expect everyone to be watching something else they free or even obligated to make something really interestingand since a great chunk of what I watched winter was still fantasy I'd say this season has far more stuff to watch with much more varietytl;dr learn how to use filters if you hate quests to defeat the demon king that much

Somehow this season turned out pretty mid despite my high expectations. Compared to the previous one where I had none at all none of this season’s shows measure up to Ninkoro, Rock Lady, or Apocalypse Hotel. Hell, even Takamine-san was more entertaining than anything that aired this summer.
I have watched more anime this season than I ever have in my life. I did not touch any of the S2 continuations. Cats, camping, rocks, assassin princesses, not-racoon, high school detective girl, magical dick to name a few
