Well, at least they wrapped up everything. The whole story leaves something to be desired due to the strong shock opening arc. Aside from Suguri and Akebi's focus episodes it has been playing tpo safe.

I thought it was a pretty decent ending, the first half of the episode had me tearing up like crazy but that's because I'm a cry baby when it comes to art. Well directed as always and I loved the music in the first few minutes but there's one pretty big glaring animation mistake they left in, wonder if other anons will catch it. The twist at the end is a bit stupid, I don't mind Sumomo becoming Mai's adoptive mother twist, but it feels weird Sumomo just disappeared from her families perspective. The entire episode is about being connected even if far apart and they mention that the world didn't change after they left, so maybe there still was a Sumomo in the past but it feels a bit clunky to me.Momentary Lily in winter, Turkey! in summer, can I hope that in 2 seasons from now we'll get more Kudou Susumu directed original kino?

Basically only a single thing about this proposed timeline was wrong, at least as far as Sumomo/Haru is concerned since she couldn't have given birth to Mai's ancestors. It's all a bootstrap paradox where the girls going back twice in time was already baked into the timeline.
