The negative reception is more global this time and that's a good thing. People let David Pro's powerpoints slide for too long, and it was about time they get called out for it. Now we can only hope they acknowledge the reactions and try to course-correct their direction.

What bothers me is that it feels like they could've done more with relatively less. I legit think if they did a stylish trailer a la old western movie (an old camera and announcer's mic effect, some of those wanted posters, like 1/3 of the footage we got), it would've felt more satisfying. It also buys them time to correct some things in the anime, although desu they might've released the trailer precisely as a "public test" to see what they should change.
