Since I'm not watching many shows this season I decided to watch the first season (my first time watching anything adapted from Takahashi outside of Inuyasha as a kid) and I loved it. I don't think a woman has ever hit the ! key more than she has, it's so refreshing seeing a story like this air in the current romcom climate. I'm gonna have to watch and read more from her. Shampoo is also the cutest Chinese girl in anime.

I'm not that anon but it's a pretty reasonable guess people have made given that no scenes from those arcs were shown in any of the previews + that nu Ranma trailer released before the show came out showed some manga panels from various arcs hinting at what would get adapted, and didn't include those arcs either.

Plus the season might only be like 12 episodes (with some of the arcs spanning 2 episodes) so there's limited space to begin with.
