The story talks about military development for mechanical porters that are meant to carry the big weapons and supplies deeper into dungeons. It doesn't seem to ever make guns useless, and one of the notable characters uses a magnetic control skill to basically be her own railgun, and that the skill's maximum output is apparently dependent upon her mp. To compare to her potential firepower you need to bring a gun bigger than she is, mind you she does still bring a gun. However they are starting to reach the point in the dungeons that you really need some big guns, like a 12.7mm.

Early in the story JSDF would roll Mynoghra over. Current LN volume Mynoghra would still be at a disadvantage because of the lack of numbers. Ryoma... he's fucked. Roland, late in the story, he might have a shot with the nuke otherwise even with witches, Greycastle would eventually be overwhelmed by sheer numbers of infinite tanks and much further advanced airpower.Gawain can fight back once he mass-produces his own tanks, so around the time Gawain gains control over Anzu. With mass-produced aircraft JSDF has no chance to win anymore. Once "Mortal Dawn" is operational, it will just be a bloodbath and Gawain might even start counter-invading and turn it into a huntershit story instead, kek. Van and Talosheim at a certain point relatively early in the story becomes undefeatable, JSDF is fucked unless they manage to get to Van very early on. Makoto and Asora/Demi-plane are safe from invasion because JSDF has no way to find an entrance-point that they can hold on to.Ainz? Solos the JSDF army from the start, but even in his absence, Nazarick stops invaders easily and advanced weaponry can't enter and bunker buster might not help in targeting the magically, not physically, connected floors. Rimuru? Solos the JSDF army once he learns how to use water blade (basically the extended prologue). Early Tempest without Rimuru (and without no-kill-restriction) can withstand under heavy losses. After the dungeon is in place, Tempest without Rimuru becomes entirely safe.
