the new one is superior in most aspects but one thing that sticks out to me in the old one is Holo's voice. her VA sounded a lot more normal, in the new one she's making an obvious effort to maker her voice sound higher and more moe and that annoys me

i watched the first few episodes of the S1 remake but i lost interestit wasn't awful overall but i can't name a single thing that it did better than the originaland a remake should be better, otherwise what's the pointpersonally i think the audio and the backgrounds were a huge downgradei didn't even realize how important the music and the sound effects were to the original until i watched the remake

I rewatched the old S&W after finishing the new one. Except for a few scenes (e.g. Holo saying "stay back" to the wolves when they were chasing Lawrence and her) the new one is a good upgrade.
