the guy just wants to make it more like dragon ball Z (again...) extending shit and blaming it on others.
kubo knows he won't get sponsors normally, he knows he doesn't get the fujos money (from sales of bluray), so he just keeps lying about things that never existed.
for example the guy could simply publish on it's own with his own money and call it a day is his job, yet he can't get sponsors so says "i was forced to rush the ending" which wasn't true at all (rush ending would be a manga that just gets "finally we will solve the mysteries of abe no senmei" which was one manga that was forced to end in 3 chapters so author just did that and right when the story was getting good) and is mostly he doesn't want to spend his own money to make the manga on it's own or continue it.
Just think of mashima HERO!! hiro the guy just wanted to see a game of edens zero and just went "fuck it i will hire a studio and release it for free to all the fans" and he did it with his own money and the game was great, yet you have kubo lying and lying making promises and shit that are regretable or bad, take the bleach game for ps5/PC the game flopped hard despite being bleach all because of the promises before simply because the guy didn't knew how to make a "what if" story and didn't thought that much about how a bleach game would go and made one that was born dead on arrival and didn't even include fan favorite chars because too sexy and too NG for western audiences with most characters moving the same and not having different clothes with fans going "even the DS game was better then this one and had lot of characters that are capable of fighting".
