I get that most Precure-like anime are monster of the week type of shows where the status quo gets reset at the start of each episode, but holy shit in Princession nothing truly ever happens. It's the same shit every single episode. The writers don't even come up with new and unique Jammerwocks, they all do the same thing (nothing) and the Princesses beat them the same way each time.It took Band Snatch 20+ episodes to figure out that maybe if they attack together instead of going 1v3 every single fucking time, they might win. And they actually won. If this were a 12-episode series this would probably happen in episode 4 or something.I watch Princession with my friends and we get a great laugh out of how unimigative and samey it is, if I were watching it solo I would probably have already dropped it.

The girls would occasionally be very off model in the parts between action, I'm sure someone has some scrungly Minamo's where she's like 90% leg. They did draw the RQ for the close ups of her face in this episode but you can tell that it's just traced over her 3-D model. Though I think it looks better like that than if they'd just left it.

I feel like the plot progression in priorche is actually pretty solid>1-6 introduces our princesses and the basics of alicepia work>7-12 is classic motw shenanigans all while introducing side characters who in turn make both the audience and the princesses more attatched to alicepia, along with introducing triad force it ends with the introduction of calist and teases Take Me Higher>13-15 are breather episodes with small bits of Band Snatch exposition, ep 15 is now even more important due to the fact it introduces Sumire, a now major character>16-18 gives the girls their new songs and 18 edges us with even more information about band snatch and alicepia's past along with introducing the queen>19-21 can be considered breather episodes but these are important since during this stretch Band Snatch finally gets serious+ Minamo and Kagari get some characterization>22-24 is the big finale of the first cour, not really much I can sayI think priorche is actually really well paced when you look at it from an outside perspective, the main hook of the show is the actual mystery of what Alicepia actually is and how it came to be what it is by the time the show starts. If you are actually watching the show then this would obviously be something you care about and are actively speculating as the show goes on. Comparing it to Kimipre I feel like Princession is the superior show since by this time Kimi to idol was only now wrapping up it's (poorly done) Purirun amnesia arc. Hell, if we want to talk about nothing ever happening, Kimi to Idol was basically twiddling it's thumbs plot wise aside from small bits of Meroron warming up to the cast (that immediately gets undone once Cure Kiss arrives) and Cutty becoming a Cure Idol fan (which was mostly a gag)
