>>282541463Yuri was born as a tragic genre, the original yuri is tragic yuri. It's linked to female homosexuality and the female role in the traditional Japanese society. Most of this tragic yuri is old, modern yuri with happy endings is a 21th century thing, but it's built on tragic yuri, that's why it tends to be so dramatic.Although, nowadays, not all yuri comes from tragic yuri, and there's not that many in anime, i can list them all here:>Oniisama E>Blue Drop>Yami to boushi to hon tabito>Happy Sugar Life>Harmony>ICE>Devil LadyAnd i think that's it.
