I will never get salesfagging. Sure, I want anime I like to be successful and profitable so that they make more of it. But never would I assume sales are in indication of quality. Would you argue that Candy Crush is the best video game, Billboard Top 40 the best music or McDonald's the best food?
The majority of people are fucking retarded so whether low IQ idiots are paying to see something should if at all be an indication to avoid something like the plague. I think so as well. Anime can be faithful and follow its own way at the same time, offering unique experience fitting the animated format AND the same story you could read in a manga. What works in a manga format doesn't have to work in an animated movie. The newest movie could've been shorter without cutting anything from the story other than lined typical for manga (like characters explaining what is happening). And I'm saying it as a KnYfag who read the manga when it was still getting serialized.
