Tatsu gets basically infinite plotlines from the misunderstanding and romantic drama and character angst while he injects all kinds of different yokai macguffin cures for getting her memories back. All to build up to a dramatic climax where Okarun truly believes the Momo he loves is gone and ready to turn his back just for Momo to regain her memories somehow and they have a tearful resolution akin to the Danmara confession. Shit's gonna suck going forward

In the earlier chapters each ghost/alien/cryptid was given lots of space and importance and you felt that there was genuine stakes to the fight. Like the Omsbudman ghost that threatened to crush Rin to death or the Flatwoods Monster that threatened to kill Okarun and Momo in their house in void space. There was a feeling that they showed up and they were a bizarre unknown quantity to the kids and to defeat them took all their ingenuity and usually looped in some kind of cool supernatural technique or tool like the exorcists or seals on the gates. All the creatures that showed up recently, one after another after another with little to breakup, just appeared with little fanfare and then were immediately outsmarted and physically defeated with almost no stakes at all. Even the fucking Hurricane Yokai felt sort of like some bizarre giant joke when the kids defeated him on the back of a fucking dead worm windsock. either way you're stupid as hell if you think that the recent fights are the same as the earlier chapters and that everyone who is complaining about them is just "nonstop bitching"
