Just don't translate yuusha as "Brave", as that sounds cringe as fuck. The worst is when the different terms are introduced at very different times, because there's a chance the TLs might have forgotten about the previous one and think too late of using a different translation for each. The most notable example of that happening is probably TenSura where the incompetence of the subbers led to many falsely believing that Shizu is a bonafide "Hero" or even actually mixed her up with the Hero who sealed Veldora due to their similar designs. They then just switched to calling Shizu a "champion" later only because both terms got used in the same scene. The subbers later fumbled and translated both as hero again regardless. This is exactly why you should keep a fucking terminology translation table ready and always refer to it first. The manga volumes release for TenSura did that, so they avoided that kind of pitfall for the most part, but you can't trust CR on this, many such mistakes were still there even in the BD version.
