>joke character is the main antagonist's greatest asset
Do you enjoy it when a character who was originally treated as a gag-like addition ends up becoming the final hurdle or last boss?
>>
that's the truth of both characters in your image though

They foreshadow this way too hard and gives it all away without saying it directly.

In the anime its very blatant sadly.

Honestly I like when any gag-character proves their worth.
Yokoshima went from buttmonkey sidekick to strongest human
Shinsuke went from weak wannabe to mentor and paragon

You mean Rudeus right? He’s an evil bastard alright wanting to destroy the world and all that jazz

>KINO so absolute it kept the threads going for a whole week for whole arc
Good times, shame that the series fucked up with the final arc and failed "sequel"

That's true.

He was more than joke character from start

its just shitposting you wouldn't know that, although the coincidences do add up eventually, I guess the first coincidental thing is this guy JUST HAPPENING to be in the same village and getting thrown in the same cell but you could write that off as a simple character introduction arc and Paul asking him to find his family but it is weird how coincidental it is when you think about it.
Then for example in the future(not in the anime yet) there's an arc where Rudeus fights a dude who uses mana absorbing stones from the hydra they defeated in S2. And that hydra is very unique and you can make a connection that he got those somehow from Geese.
Its never too apparent but it does nag you sometimes that there's more to his character even in the anime.

What did the editor do?

Can't get published without an editor.

For the writer or us?
>>
>>282597451
he's a terrible antagonist, he doesnt care about it and rudy doesnt care about opposing him either
same with badi
neither side cares about this conflict so it's feels fucking hollow and stupid, then this retarded shonen protag shows up and gets off panel'd by orsted
worst ending to a series ive seen in a while

Name 5 times this happens
