That's the least unrealistic part of the whole story.

>look! modern architecture next to older stuff!
I don't think that was OP's point (unless he's a retard).
>>
>>282607262
why don't they just run the electricity cables underground?
>>
>>282609575
They would break due to the amount of earthquakes they get and costs more to dig up the ground than to string pole to pole.
>>
>>282609575
Because earthquakes.
>>
>>282609575
Not sure that will work in an earthquake prone country.

The new building kind of feels like an insult

>soulless, soul
>>
>>282607262
Looks normal. What's the problem here? I am not american.
>>
>>282609738
Knowing Germans, that's probably the point.
>>
>>282609891
>What's the problem here?
In Japanese terms, it puts delinquents and ojous within eye contact distance.
>how is that a prob-
In American terms, it puts them within firing distance.
>but I'm neither
Good. You may miss out on the yearning that results from a low contact society, but you'll never have to deal with American hysteria. May you grow up healthy.

And so there was no reason to post in the thread
>>
>>282609891
Op is trying to make a joke that only a few will understand. The screen shot is probably from the anime/manga "Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku" about a boy going to the school on the left which is a school for delinquents making friends with a girl from the school on the left a prim and proper private school for girls. The joke obviously being how dumb it is for the poor boy's school full of delinquents being literally next door to the rich private school for girls

Thanks
>>
>>282610247
Alas, I did. Because I'm interested in shoujo romance and city planning but disappointed by the average poster's lack of knowledge on those two topics.
This experience is more common than you think.

>>282610254
I was about to call you out for being ChatGPT, but then you messed up left vs. right.
Blessed explainon.

>>282610395
If it makes you feel any better I thought the same thing while I wrote it, fuck AI, it makes it hard to do my autist analytical writing now. I'm also pretty drunk right now which is why I didn't catch the left left mistake
>>
>>282607262
Superior planning folded over 1 mirrion times.
>>
>>282610254
I always thought the schools were in different districts. WTF they are next to each other.

It feels like it should but no they're right next door to each other
>>
>>282607262
At least it's actually walkable. *cries in American*
>>
>>282612759
Great news for everyone who needs to walk from one school to the other
>>
>>282612642
Public schools are districted but private schools are wherever, and since Japan actually runs their public schools well the private schools are for all the bakas who couldn't pass the test to get in, or apparently wealthy ojousamas
>>
>>282609575
Then where will the birds sit?
>>
>>282613017
On their bed in their mother's basement like the rest of us
>>
>>282609575
because outside of you not being able to see the cables it's worse in every possible way
>>
>>282612685
cmon. the mango source didn't have wires!!!
>>
>>282607262
I thought that was an apartment building next to a school. Would be cool to go right outside your door and find JKs walking by.
>>
Japan's architecture is pretty neat except when you encounter shit like pic related. I have no idea what they intended.
>>
>>282615578
What you have here is probably some old building that no one wanted torn down having its floor space expanded by building on top of it.
>>
>>282615578
Wow. Can't believe they built a whole building sideways
>>
>>282607262
>this could have been a cool Romeo and Juliet premise
>>
>>282609575
>>282613242
Why don't they just run the internet fibers on the poles?
>>
>>282607262
What do they eat?
>>
>>282607262
That's a decent worldbuilding
>>
>>282615578
They got something like that fort he museum in perth western australia, but the modern part is linking 2 different buildings through a larger roof

you better not be american

Modern architecture was a mistake. We should’ve killed Frank Lloyd Wright
>>

>Japan actually runs their public schools well
lol, lmao even
>>
Post japanese street electric grid messes
>>
>>282607262
>>282607435
In reality, Japanese urban zoning would never put schools that close to each other because in Japan, all schools have to serve as emergency shelters and all I can see is potential traffic gridlock from having 2 school populations next to each other, which is bad news if there is a fire and fire trucks need all the space they can get
>>
>>282617849
Frank Lloyd Wright didn't make soulless architecture, his buildings usually had character because they were designed with a focus on nature and natural light
it was Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe who fucked everything up

When it comes to big city modern urban landscapes, Akihabara will forever be my personal favorite, worldwide. All the buildings in the area feel weirdly comfy.
I've read somewhere that the way they designed many of the buildings around the area during their development as the "electric town" and otaku paradise after, was and is with the intention to make otaku and introverts such as myself feel safe or at home, and I can confirm it does feel that way for me. And no, it's not just the anime billboards or the electronics. Putting those aside, the building designs alone and the way they're all fit together does that. Although the anime and electronics do greatly help to "feel at home".
But yes, I'm biased and I don't care. For me, it's better than 99% of all other modern soulless urban landscapes anywhere else in the world.
Pic related is old now since the city keeps changing several times each year. Namely poor Dejiko taken down years ago and that awesome Sega Gigo building sadly isn't like that anymore, in fact iirc it's under renovation right now. So this is already a relic from the past.
>>
>>282615776
Yeah, pretty silly of them.
>>
>>282607262
How do they deal with all the wires?
