Been writing a story on and off for the past 10 years but I haven't gotten halfway done.
I was inspired by: Harry Potter, AtlA, Naruto, Sky High, and typical Japanese school tropes
Hook: 4 students with abnormally low proficiency in their powers of air, water, earth, fire attend a school that prides itself in unifying the different attributes into one region.
Power system is basically the AtlA premice but everyone has an ability with varying degrees of skill/power. The main four characters have their own special power that they have to learn to understand over the course of the story
Stakes: low to medium stakes. Low because its a school setting so most of the conflict is teenage related. Medium because the hidden abilities the 4 students have are rare as well as deadly for a reason.
The only thing I can say that makes it "original" is the fact that, despite it following a "main character," the four students are the central point of the story. Also, there is no big bad as he died before the story started.

Okay so get this. Japanese high school where due to a government mandate, every student has to belong to a club. The schools then have a tournament where their clubs fight each other - the soccer team fights the other soccer teams, the anime club fights the other anime clubs. Scoring is structured based on how many clubs win, and each student can only belong to one club.

What this means is that even if one school's delinquents are stronger, if their otaku and cheerleaders don't win, the school loses. Eventually it gets down to shit like the AV nerds and LGBT Alliance beating on each other while the entire school cheers like in Otokojuku for what would otherwise be one of the least interesting fights on record.

Also, one of the schools is located inside Mt. Fuji for some reason.

People summon stands but the stands are rapey fat ugly bastards who molest their opponents' girlfriends and female family members. Our MC is an only child to a single dad, he can summon the ugly bitch Neto Ara, daughter of the greatest ugly bastard ever. She is able to molest MC's opponents directly, which gives MC a huge advantage in the Molestation War.

Animal Charmer had recruited a basilisk in prior seasons, but in actuality, the basilisk had been hypnotizing him in order to gather, for itself, a large meal. This story arc will be the effective 'End of Part 1' so later people can say it got worse after this season and allow the narrative to linger in the minds of watchers rent free.

The party is now just the main character and the twin mages, Animal Charmer having returned to his hometown after last season, and Archery Boy having decided to care for his sister after everything seemed to cool down.
This story is about a new character who reflects the MC- a white haired swordsman the same age as him, who joins the party. A new demon lord arises, who is revealed to be that white haired boy but from the future, have time traveled for ambiguous reasons I haven't made up yet, and he invokes dimensional warping powers that lead to the climactic episodes being set in modern day Japan (for fun).
The story ends with the main character and his love interest (Light Magic Twin) being stuck in Japan, sequel never.

In a school the most popular boy in class announces that he has found a way to go against the Yakuza. He's found an old ninja master and is being trained by him. Now he wants everyone to train so they can all become noble ninja and destroy the yakuza.
Most don't really believe him but come along anyways only to find out it's true. Everyone starts training ninja arts in secret.

The kicker that keeps this manga from being axed before chapter ten:
The MC is the son of the Yakuzas leader. He is completely dogshit at shinobi stuff (cant walk silently, do flips, bad aim with thrown tools and all that). When he gets frustrated at his lack of progress he runs off in the mountains they train in and finds an old shrine where on a pedistal sits a fox mask. He puts it on and then finds its magical and he cant take it off. The old ninja master tells him that the mask holds a sealed fox god and that by pulling it over his head completely he will assume the foxes form and gain its powers temporarily at the cost of a years worth of his lifespan.

A shadow war against the Yakuza starts and MC has to always do his best to get better at his skills so he won't have to sacrifice his life.

The Yakuza have a member who holds a demon mask, just like the MC's fox mask.

Fights would involve less of a brute force approach where fights are a measure of someone's willpower through physical strength and more of a Jojo style battle of wits where trickery and dirty fighting are encouraged
Perhaps there could be a magician gimmick where the MC has to constantly use trickery to appear to others as much stronger than he is while overcoming his own insecurity and cowardice
basically what if Usopp from OP got his own story

Magic system involves using emotion to summon magic resulting in magic being this kind of method acting where the more negative emotion you can bring forth and control the more powerful you are

This results in the two most traumatized fucked up broken and mentally scarred men on the planet becoming the most powerful and the fate of the world is determined by their relentless ambition of killing each other

Archer faggotry power system. Weird water heavy futuristic post apo tribal setting where nukes do not exist and instead you just have archipelagos and countries on boats hiring one of the 3 god tier archers in existence to fire magical weapon of destruction elven like bows at their neighbors. MC is a survivor of one such nuke that melted their arm clean off. He's looking for material to make an arm when he finds half of a low level elven bow that can't shoot anything, and thinks "why not". It goes to shit from there, now they basically are possessed by a hot elf bent on revenge for the massacre of their people. It's played for laughs at first because all the people they want to kill died long ago, but shit gets serious and relevant later as the mc furthers their own plot and becomes a skilled archer of his militaristic nation thanks to his weird arm and the knowledge of the elf possessing it. The power system is more of the chinese variety in that you have to both improve yourself and get your hands on high level weapons at the same time or you won't get good.
Power level of bows is based upon how many not elves were forcibly turned into wood to make it, hence why thet all died out and are just a mystical race now. We don't explain that though.
