I've been rewatching Naruto and I really hate how much Gaara has changed in Shippuden. He had every interesting thing about his personality removed from him, and, other than his design and powers, feels like a completely different character after the timeskip. Do you know of any anime that has characters who were once crazed psychopaths become good people, but they still randomly show psychotic traits from time to time to show that they are still the same person?

>>282629191His main pillar of "love" is killing anyone who threatens him, and now he's learned how to love others and not just himself. So he should be extremely overprotective and friendly, but still incredibly murderous to people who threaten his loved ones, which now encompasses the entire village.He should be 10,000% murderously angry at people like Deidara trying to mass murder his entire village, not just moderately annoyed. Likewise it should be obvious it takes him massive amounts of self control to not go fucking nuts at people like Orochimaru, Obito and Madara for causing a massive war that killed shitloads of people.Basically more like Sasuke, but tempered by him understanding love and forgiveness more and so not being all scorched earth revenge focussed.
