Used to be you could insert a trap as a random character in a game or anime and fans would eat it up(see: bridget) but if any new IP does that you'll immediately get a flame war between LGBT's and /pol/tards over shit that is totally unrelated to your series because they don't actually like media they just want to argue politics. Traps are traditionally used as gag or fanservice characters, but if you can't do that since they make people mad then there's no point adding them.It's just another instance of EVERY aspect of your life being turned into a political issue. The actual reason is that this stuff is a liability in the largest overseas market for anime by far, China. It obviously has nothing to do with the US where trannies and chuds both love traps
