Well... I finished reading this manga.
I liked it because of the anime, and I was curious why it hadn't been animated before, since the manga is a bit old. But as I progressed, I realized that MC's morality is somewhat ambivalent, even allowing good people to die in order to fulfill his goal. And in the end, the final villain isn't a true villain. Unfortunately, it's not a one-dimensional villain who's pure evil either. On the contrary, it ends up being a puppet without any real willpower. Which, well, leaves a lot to be desired.
Well, that's my answer. Now I understand why it wasn't animated before, and why it doesn't have the outstanding animation that other manga have. It's a good isekai, but nothing more. I think it's a bit similar to Tsukimichi in terms of morality, but ultimately, they're not very similar. This is a fantasy with no ties to the modern world, so it's not an isekai.
I also didn't like that some of the people who like MC are practically chuds. I think I'd give it a 7-8/10, but I'm not sure yet. Anyway, a good fantasy manga/anime to pass the time.
I really wish Mc hadn't let so many good guys die.
