Just finished this for the first time and I really loved the soundtrack and atmosphere. Storytelling was a bit lackluster though but it's understandable since the manga was unfinished. Should I continue on to Ultimate & watch the abridged version or just read the manga?

I personally did not find the abridged to be entertaining. Actually, it was difficult to sit through.
