In this thread animes that are trying to be serious but just made you laugh.
i liked the original cells at work so i figured i'd watch the spin-off but how am i supposed to take this gritty reboot seriously when the main character is having a fucking existential crisis because he learned about masturbation?

Haven't seen the series, but that's kinda the point? Seeing how each minimal thing the human does affects the body and it's elements.
Though, tje thing I can't take seriously is any attempts to being serious or gritty while the white cells huge boobs are giving me an erection just by existing

why did they make the white blood cells girls anyways? I'm not against women being depicted as fighters or anything, but there's literally no reason for them to be showing off so much cleavage while doing it.

Black is the edgy one, so having the white blood cells have cleavage showing fits.

I think there was a logic shown in the live action. But not sure if that applied to the mangas.
It focused on two humans, an adult man and his daughter.
So the middle aged guy was Code Black, with sexy bombshells as white cells and cutesy guys as red cells. While the daughter represented the OG series with, having the bishonens/chads as the white cells and the cute women as the red ones.

i mean it makes sense for the episode where they go to the liver and go to a hostess club, but it feels like having bouncing boobies would just impair your ability to fight monsters. sex appeal has no function for a white blood cell whose only function is to kill. if you just have cleavage in your show to be adult and edgy then it's just going to make viewers roll their eyes/

if your only idea for how to make your show seem more "Adult" is to give your character giant breasts, even when it doesn't make sense of them to have such big boobs, then it comes off more like a teen trying to be an adult than an actual mature adult.

Or maybe it's just hot, you homo

>Seem more mature
Kek, do faggots really? Do you really think they have big boobs just to make the show "seem mlre mature" lmao
>>
>>282644081
well this is supposed to be the more "adult" version of cells at work, and the girls in the original cells at work didn't have their giant breasts practically spilling out of their shirts.

I don’t think there’s any narrative purpose more just a marketing purpose. Cells at Work is already kind of a strange premise for a manga, it’s basically edutainment, so they were doing whatever they could to get people to give the manga a chance. I agree that it looked pretty silly. Would have preferred them covered up but still busty.

And thus increasing the sex appeal
Is this too hard to understand? lol
>>
>>282644196
thus you agree that they think more sex appeal makes the show seem more mature?
i just disagree with the writers that more sex appeal makes a show more mature.
>>
>>282644225
You seem to have a very retarded definition of what "mature" entails
