Why are anime action sequences so fucking lame nowadays?
>>
>>282643089
Cuz that's a movie and modern anime is 99% tv/web series

Thank you for providing an example to contrast the non lame action.
>>
>>282643163
now imagine if there was a story to give a shit about behind all that slightly above average animation
>>
If it's in 4:3 or 1.85:1 you know you're in for a good time. If it's in 16:9 don't bother.

Huh I didn't realize the movie version changed so much. In the ova guld rams the ghost right away.
Anyway, it's funny how the 90s response to "AI took my job" was terrorism

Because skill drain in the industry means they have to cover up their action and choreography with short cuts, shaky cam and digital effects. The second shot of that webm is a 3 second long mecha transformation, highly technical. One of the missile sequences is almost 4 seconds, with the perspective traveling through the contrails. They just don't draw like that anymore.

Is this b8?
>>
>>282643439
It's not just this industry. What the fuck happened to skilled people?

Now that's an excellent question, but I don't want to be the guy that derails yet another thread with that kind of thing.
>>
>>282644993
Global creativity is declining everywhere which is why i fucking hate outsiders who try to shill another declining product because they think that we have never seen it when it was good before and we will slurp everything just because Anime is declining nowadays
>>
>>282646632
When things decline, they stop making money. People stop buying it.

That hasn't happened, so there is no decline.

I'm genuinely convinced that people who spam Solo Leveling are literal Koreans who is not aware that A1 animated solo leveling. Only them could be this stupid and shameless
>>
>>282644993
Nothing
>>
>>282646667
I'm not korean at all. It's the truth that SL is the best action anime ever made after OPM season 1.
>>
>>282646888
What exactly does Solo Leveling do that you can't find in a battle shonen?

A battle shonen would give you the same or better action scenes + an actual story and characters worth caring about
>>
>>282643163
I don't think the action in Solo Leveling is even that good. You can overanimate a turd, but that doesn't change it from being some of the most shallow, uninteresting fight choreography I've seen. Almost every fight, these idiots just take turns staring gormlessly at the other while they're throwing basic ass punches. Even your most basic battle shonen (or even some kodomo like Pokemon) have better choreography and more substance to their fights than this.
>>
>>282643089
you're just not watching the right anime
>>
>>282646962
why is it like a modern american action movie where its all shaky and shit
>>
>>282646888
Sure thing Koreans. It's cute that you people would think that we would prefer your modern turd just because we don't like the majority of modern Japturd
