I don’t think /a/nons really appreciate Kanokari enough. What this author is doing is a masterpiece for every subsequent manga in the coming years, but no one seems to understand. Kanokari is, page by page and word by word, the ultimate guide on what NOT to do in a romcom or in any romance-related manga, showing authors exactly what's wrong with modern manga. It’s the epitome of bad writing (done on purpose) so others can see how certain arcs can ruin an overall story. This author is a genius. He’s sacrificing his reputation just to ensure that other mangaka don’t repeat the Kanokari mistakes. He’s sacrificing himself for the greater good of the industry. Thank you, Kanokari author for becoming a martyr for us, for romcoms.. And if every author took notes, we would live in a better world, no more NTR-bait, no more amnesia arcs, no more misunderstandings, no more cucked endings, and no more “they lived happily ever after as platonic (((friends))).” Some /a/nons will only realize this much later, but when they do, MCs will finally be allowed to have friends, romcoms won’t end at the confession, couples will be able to grow old together, and used good heroines will finally become the standard.

I think Ruka is winning. Chizuru loves her more than she loves client man it’s pretty clear she won’t interfere in her happiness by choice. There’s only one person left that should give up and Chizuru has to make sure 100% to reject any possibility that she will get together with him. She has to tell him off in a month and a half so he can finally give up on her and move on to another girl that can make him and that girl happy. It’s the only right thing to do.
