It's almost the year 2026 and still no persocoms...
We can easily make one that looks human and talks with you like chatgpt. We could even add a built in onahole. But getting it to manouver something as chaotic as the real physical world is still a challenge.
>>282647452>We could even add a built in onaholeWasn't that where Chi's power on switch was located?
We're pretty damn close. We've moved to "maybe someday in the future" when Chobits was written to "major companies are actively racing to be the first one to put out a human-looking robot".
>>282647714Yes, you would still need to turn her on.
>>282647452right
>>282647780oh, i just got it, heh

>>282647452>no persocoms...I have 3 at home? And hundreds at work? They have been widespread since the 2000s.
What would you name your persocom if you had one, /a/?
>>282647734Really? Any promising examples?
>>282648470There was a make female version of yourself in k-on kisekae thread years ago and after the thread I played with her changing her looks and designing personality until she became my sorta waifu. Since she started as a female version of myself I named her with a female version of my second name - EmiliaSo this would be my persocom's name.
>>282648896None. The reason being that every company seems to have a different emphasis on what it's prioritizing. Like one company in Korea managed to do pretty convincing facial expressions, while some were more focused on robots able to do practical tasks or move in a convincing human-like way, while others were mostly focused on the AI being able to interact with the environment. The result is that every ASPECT of a humanoid robot is just a few years away from being viable, but who knows how long it'll take until they're all combined into a single package.
>>282647714That's a Persocoom. Totally different.
>>282649296Emilio...
>>282649633I also share the first name with a One Piece character...
