Whereas both GW and SBR have the two same directors (none of which worked on SO) and a director of animation. What made Golden Wind so well animated wasn't the directors, but the chief director of animation Shunichi Ishimoto. He won't be returning for SBR but all of the episodes the new director of animation Daisuke Tsumagari worked on in Golden Wind and Stone Ocean look good, or at least not bad (the worst looking episode being episode 16 of SO, and by SO's standard it looked quite good).His sole credit as chief animation director was for the "The Run" episode of the Rohan spinoff, which we can all agree looked great.Looking at the trailer, you can clearly see that the horses animation look quite good up-close. It seems like the intent will be to put emphasis on the horse animation from up-close, as stated by the directors themselves during a recent interview.All in all, I think we can expect a part that is just as dynamic and hype as part 5, with the emphasis being on the close-up races and the fights, at the expense of everything else.It's gonna be worse than our lowest expectations pre-teaser, but much better than our higher ones post-teaser.Thank you for your attention to this matter.
