If Chigusa and Ren appear again I wonder if they'll apologize about what they've done. A core theme of the story is characters moving past their personal trauma, such as with Shizuki. The event also happened way back in 4th grade so I don't think they"ll still harbor a problem about it. At least for Chigusa if this is everything that happened.
