Axeman has admitted in the fanbook that he's terrified of plot holes and gravitates towards stories that don't impact the plot at all. Hence the Eden sidestory. His stalling has been a huge problem until the past year where he suddenly went full speed on plot progression. Coincidentally, Eden chapters are now rare.
