Hub motors would remove as much moving parts as possible but would add the extra unsprung weight and the complication of how to power the motors through an axle. If you bring the motor into the traditional place you could use a sealed shaft drive to not have to deal with a chain. The biggest problem would still be the battery though. Batteries suck ass for energy storage.

Looks terrible and hurts the eyes.I'm reading the manga though, and I like what it's doing. I assumed it'd be just some laidback tourism borefest thing with a post-apo gimmick, but it's also laying down some grounded backstory and weaving in survivor stories as it goes. It's not shying away from showing the ultimate fates of some of the apocalypse victims you'd inevitable run into while scavenging, either. I feel it strikes a really good balance of these themes.Youko has a cute butt.

Watched it, pretty weak in my opinion, things like Shuumatsu Ryokou and Shuumatsu Train really sold the whole package on episode 1 but here something is kind of missing, I guess I'll just be more patient.

If they're short on supplies and have to scrounge why are they giving food to the robot? Since it can use organic matter for energy just feed the robot mushrooms, animal parts, plants etc while saving the regular food for Yoko.
