>ask Grok to recommend age gap romance manga
>it lists Usagi Drop
>google cover art
>see pic related
what the?

That aside, everyone on english speaking internet hates it with passion, but could it just be the case of wrong audience? Clearly it is written for women by woman and in japan it was liked enough to get anime and movie. I knew what I was getting into when reading it and I liked the endning despite many ass pulls and improbabilities.

Could it be that western audience is just a bunch of whiny retards? Or is it more the case of drastic tone shift and unnatural progression?

>written for women by woman
If that were the case it would be from Rin’s POV instead of the groomer’s, and said groomer would also be an ikeman rapechad instead of your dime a dozen “nice guy” plain-looking beta self-insert types.

Mangaka is clearly a troon

Don't care what cunts on Twitter are doing.
Definitely don't care what LLMs on Twitter are doing.
Kill yourself.

manga is listed under josei genre and it shifts to FMCs pov right after time skip. What you are talking about?
>>

Age gaps in general are not viewed with as much lenience in the west, especially when there's a child involved in any way, even though there's nothing particularly wrong with Usagi Drop's premise
Most of the people complaining probably also watched the anime first, so they went to read the manga expecting more father and daughter sappiness and got mad when that wasn't the author's intention

You don't understand women

>You don't understand women
Women want attractive rapechads, not betabux simps, it’s you who obviously doesn’t understand them or are the latter and are coping.

>All fiction ever is a self-insert wish fullfilment fantasy from your own gender's perspective
Your virginity is duly noted.
Not all fiction is some kind of self-insert wish fullfilment fantasy, and many self-insert wish fullfilment fantasies are also from the perspective of the opposite sex as the artist. Who do you think is writing all those boys' love stories anon?

>Muh muh “west”.
Holy shit you fat lardbag burgers. Keep your dumb shit into your own country and stop acting like the rest of “the west” agrees with your inane moralism and internet outrage.
I'm pretty sure it's mostly terminally online extravirgin burgers only anyway. Wouldn't surprise me if this dumb outrage only pertains to them.

>>282783251
Yes, they mostly do. Now to try to realize that a lot of fiction is still just actually I don't know a gripping plot-based drama and not self-insert wish fullfilment.

Fujos with auto androphilia

>there's nothing particularly wrong with Usagi Drop's premise
Guy literally raises his future wife who he had seen and treated as a daughter beforehand…
>>
>>282782880
Pretty sure Usagi Drop isn't age gap romance and AI is just shitting you but can see why it would say it.
For your question, it's bit of both. I think that shit was genuine surprise for western audience. Western audience is undoubtedly whiny retards too but Usagi Drop specifically has real culture shock element
>>
>>282783350
Yeah, so it's not from the perspective of any female character now is it?
And again, a lot of fiction isn't even wish fulfillment. Some stuff is just I don't know post Apocalyptic action or a serious drama. Fuck, Lolita wasn't even really wish fulfillment in any way and yet it was written from the perspective of Humbert who was also an unreliable narrator and it ends on a bad ending.

You people seriously lost the ability to consume fiction outside of wish fulfillment and think all fiction is. In reality only a minority of fiction is wish fulfillment. Bunny Drop was just a substitute parent dramedy of which there's plenty.

>Rin from Usagi Drop
>Rin from Kodomo no Jikan
>Rin from Inuyasha
3 Rin’s in a row who were lolis thar got paired together with the male adults in their lives… This can’t just be a coincidence, is the name “Rin” some sort of lolicon coded name over there or something?
>>
>>282783538
>substitute parent dramedy
No it wasn’t, Rin never wanted Daikichi to be her father but rather her husband, it’s a daughterwife raising fantasy.

fuck off retard

>Grok is an evil AI made by american MAGA racists
It is? Maybe I'll use it
>>
>>282782995
Women experience life in the third person point of view. What they refer to as the Male Gaze is their Mind's Eye.
>>
>>282782880
I hate when an anime or manga looks wholesome and normal enough and then just inevitably jump-scares you with some pedo or incest bullshit like halfway in.

Usagi Drop is the definition of this.
>>
>Use AI
Stipped reading right there.

>>282783570
more like your mother gave birth to a retard coded son

When western retards hate it, you know it's good
>>
>>282783251
No, you've clearly never interacted with a woman, little zoomer virgin. Women want a second dad. Pathetic creatures, really
>>
>>282785055
Anime is not for western freaks like you. Stay mad, tranny
