Oh and the idol is taking part of this because Barry abuses his superstar status while her music sales are declining, having her regretfully help in hopes of him using his influence to get her back in the limelight. And that whole korean scandal is just the first half of the episode. For the 2nd half we get a recreation of the glory days of the GT Baby saga, with said actor being possessed by an alien and kicking Gohan's ass with decent action in a cloudy city as all hope is lost, Gohan gets fucking punted into space but revives of sheer will to protect his family.That's all in a 20 minutes episode and has more emotions than the Black saga and ToP honestly.I'd rather that little alien had survived and this turned into a 30 episodes saga, if Gohan had actually beaten Barry AND THEN YOU SAW THE ALIEN JUMP INSIDE HIS BODY THROUGH A WOUND that would have been as tragic and dark as the Baby saga, if not more.So yeah I think DBS peaked here. It has the drama and action of DBZ and GT, real stakes. Not the future or other universes, but Gohan's family and their lives.

If the Buu arc had more exploration of them going on an adventure to track down Babidi it would have made things feel more fresh, than just one long tired slug fest against an invincible bubble gum monster.

Something I didn't like about the anime is how it brought back Frieza's super muscular 100% form.That form only existed in the original manga because Frieza had no control over his own power. In Super he's supposed to be able to fight at full power without becoming a hulking beast.
