The message the show is trying to send is nice and all (and it is applicable not only to fat people but also to people who have really low self-esteem due to a variety of reasons), but the tone is schizophrenic. You can mix comedy with more serious, down-to-earth moments, but the way this show goes about it just creates moments of complete tonal whiplash. Still, this was a surprisingly decent first episode.
