Oda is top tier at remembering people, names, and how they relate to each other. He's almost savant level at that, which is where all the GODA flashback stuff comes from.

However, Oda is 70 IQ down syndrome kid level innumerate. Remember when he thought a bubble island 10km under the sea could have a projectile fly within it for 150km? That's what the devil took away in exchange for his social memory powers. What this means is that as Oda is getting into all of this stuff about 38 years ago, and then 20 years ago, and then blah blah eventually he's going to forget that certain characters can't be that age at this or that point and it's going to wreck his story. He can't even do baby level 2+2 arithmatic, so unless there is a good editor who knows how much of a morlock brain Oda is at this stuff, something is going to go wrong and derail the entire story, like Marco being in his 40s during God Valley or something insane like that, to pull something random from my ass.
