I think it is not anime or manga.
It's really soulless and has none of the yuri feeling you get in true yuri. It's like they only understand it on the surface.

Adults behave like they're in high school, everyone's dating a celebrity, and every time one seems to be trying something interesting it derails. It's like the Chinese always get bored of their own story and abandon key plot points to jump genres. They don't seem to care about continuity and consistency as much as Japanese writers do, not that Japanese are the best storytellers either but at least they try.And long strip fucking sucks. Endless scrolling with the laziest panel composition and close ups. I'd say typically the art is a little subpar to the average manga but because it's in color it gets overrated. Nevermind that backgrounds are always stock 3D models and you can play a fun game of spotting the same buildings between series.

Webtoon, or whatever longstrip toiletpaper is called, is a shit format and can't hold a candle to manga panels, even 4-koma is better. Tamen de Gushi was actually really good in the beginning but it's dead/changed now, Bully was nice for a while but the plot got too much and now we have time travel, demons, curses, hogwarts etc etc and it's just too much; all of it is done in a hamfisted way and the only thing that was every good about this toiletpaper was the cute moments with Evie and Pink; which are now sorely lacking. Literally the only good thing out of China is SOME wuxia.

I read Soulmate and enjoyed it although it must be said my local publisher went through the trouble of rearranging the toilet paper strip into normal pages for the physical release. I wouldn't have read it otherwise.

She could still publish it online (it's currently still up) but she lost interest. I think this is just a case of publishers of that time assuming explicitly yuri wouldn't sell/not worth investing and not unique to the Chinese. After her magazine went under, Konohana Kitan's author was offerred a chance in a new magazine on the condition that she introduced a male character and turned it into het harem. She told them to take a hike and chose multiple years hiatus instead.
