They like to make screenshots and post fanart and say things like "these dum-dums just can't stay away from each other". People who hated this chapter seem to be a collection of different groups with sometimes contradictory agendas. Some of these people hated the chapter because as one of their main mangas they can't stand how slow paced the story has become, either because they depend on Momo and Okarun's relationship for dopamine or they think Momokarun stalling is also stalling their favorite parts of the manga. A different group seems to have a love/hate relationship with the manga in general and are probably more traditional shonen readers who find a lot of the romance embarrassing or otherwise unrealistic. They're more likely to be on board almost solely for Tatsu's art and his character designs/yokai power system. I think the final group I recognize from the generals is a group of posters who are starting to recognize the obvious cracks in the series. They probably started out uncritically loving this series but at some point in the last ~80 or so chapters have realized Tatsu isn't able to recapture lightning in a bottle or is actively stalling which is killing that previous dynamic feel. This group can probably be won over chapter to chapter depending on how it strikes them personally, but because they see the series as fallible they no longer can ignore when the manga offends them.

>>283003495Oh my god, I just realized this entire amnesia arc is literally an on-boarding point for anime fans. Season 2 finished, there's an obvious hike in the fanbase. Editors realize that anime fans want to have a taste of what it was like to enjoy the manga from its early days and being part of the community so Tatsu devises a half-measure amnesiac Momo so that the new manga fans will get a sense of the will they won't they from early on. If he finishes by the end of the year then the editors and Tatsu can pretend like he's done a service for new manga readers and move forward in the romance while also pretending like he's given old manga readers proof that Momo and Okarun's romance was always so strong it could outlast their memories being taken from them. The Big 2 in american comics do this shit all the time, but I don't think I've seen anyone do it in manga before. wow

CSM and DDD are often compared for their "similarities", but the most striking difference is in the overall tone and message thet try to convey.In CSM there's a sort of a fleures du mal brooding pessimistic somber outlook because life sucks, while Dandadan has an ultimately positive and optimistic message in spite of life sucking. I think it's important that every arc ends with a silly celebratory eating party.So I think Okarun won't fall for it longer, or at the very least he will learn to understand and manage his weakness.
