It's definitely a strong addition to the ABO genre to begin with because it's unusual in its nature and why I originally read it even though I've mentioned before that I tend to not like most ABO stories. I think she fell into the tribe of by not showing people of all genders in your story there's not much to go off of. If you show a normal couple in your setting it's a good basis to compare the main characters and the side characters too. If you don't have any of that then there's no sort of grounding to the story. I feel like a lot of Bl writers fall into this trap. I know that the trope is to not have a heterosexual couple in the story but sometimes even just showing what another couple is like is a good basis. I kind of went off on a tangent there, but I do think that all of those reasons you stated are what drags down the series compared to her other ones where a lot of the couples where in static buildings and narratively didn't interact with other people in general. When you have a larger amount of people it just feels awkward when even the company that you're working at doesn't have a few people of the opposite dinner you can even make them alpha if you wanted to in her story just to show what maybe women alpha have to go through so that you can further show how Omega men would be treated in that society. Our alpha women treated like Omega men or they treated just the same as any other alpha that also has a lot of good narrative basis for how we recognize other people treat other people because if women are treated worse even if they're an alpha then Omega men then we know that it's still a different type of hierarchy. It doesn't have to even be outright stated it could just be thrown in there as an afterthought or a one or two sentence line. Sometimes that's all you need to get your point across.

Oh hey, for once, this isn't a terrible thread yet, so I don't have to repeat "what a thread" or anything.Anyways, I'm just starting the last volume of Saye danmei novel (so 6th volume) via fan translations. From this point on, my re-read has content that I haven't read properly before because fan translations were slowing down, so I relied on MTL back then. I remember glancing at the second fan translation group that picked up the last tidbit of chapters, but that was way after I was done with "reading" the series, so this all feels pretty new. I'm also planning to buy the 3rd volume since its official English publication came out just a few days ago, but I'll have to hold off on that for now.I'm in the breakup arc, and god, it hurts. I don't think I've seen a BL use the exact same reasoning for it before Saye. The acknowledgement of mental illness, growing to fatigue, all culminating to one of the guys in the main couple saying "I'm tired..." That got me when I read the shitty pre-AI-boom MTL, and it got me here. Though I think the quote that got me the most after all these years was,>"He didn’t give up on me, or the relationship, he gave up on himself. I really like the execution, I feel like the author is pretty good at giving her stories a touch of "realism". I also liked it's a BL where you can see the progression in the seme approach to sexuality and relationship. Any other BL would have him confess in V1, but I liked it ended V1 with a question mark regarding his feelings and the future of the relationship.
