Then there's Kaedegami, which is ending completely in the middle of a random arc with just about nothing resolved. Is it just a case of some authors becoming demoralized and giving up when they get the axe? I don't really blame them, but it's a shame to see, because I think examples like the former will be remembered more fondly in the long run.

With the renaissance of WT, the success of JJK, Naruto ending, DB Super and HxH coming out of hiatus after the Chimera arc, I thought more shounens would have methodical fights or at least some semblance of it. But all we got in the last 10 years was KGB and SD, maybe Centuria too. Everything else is just sentaiish. I understand sentai being big in Japan, but can't the authors and EiC see other styles ressonates better in the manga medium nowadays? Nobody is into SS and FotNS anymore.
