Just finished the season 2 and it was great, even got me teared up a few times.
Gonna watch the season 3 next, is it really that bad?

Season 3 fails to live up to the previous seasons' highpoints for a variety of reasons.
Teio's final Arima Kinen run for example is among the most legendary races in history. Meanwhile Kitasan Black, without spoiling anything for you, doesn't really face the same kinds of challenges Teio does towards the end of the season.
To be frank, while she is a likeable character she doesn't make for a great protagonist.

Whether you still enjoy it or not despite that is up to your preferences.
