I think they pulled a really neat trick on the reader in the last chappyBasically they spent the entire time focusing on Yonagi's role, obviously, because she's the protag, and they intentionally obscure the fact that the monkey king is actually the good guy in the story. They only ever mention how he fights the iron fan princess for the fan and tries to trick her, so you assume he's just being a jackass on purpose. Then, when they reveal that the princess is the bad guy causing the mountains to flare up or preventing them from being put out, Basically her rage is ruining the lives of the villagers, and the monkey king is fighting her to put an end to that. They got the reader to empathize with the villian before we even knew she was a villian. That's pretty coolAlso I want to have sex with Chiyoko and Kei at the same time, not sure if that matters
