What are you talking about? That's way off. Yuri was only an insane witch lady in the anime original ending of season 1 (I don't remember if she was even a real witch). In the manga, she was a homeless girl who was saved by Shiro and fell in love with him and became an exorcist (back then Shiro was a violent asshole because he was a clone created as part of an experiment to make suitable vessels for the demon kings). Satan was completely obsessed with her (and I'm avoiding using the word love because as Yuri herself said, it's not love) and the whole reason he wanted Shiro's body as a vessel is that he was the man Yuri loved.

Whilst much like Yuri, I wouldn't call it true love but Satan DID actually care for Yuri in his own way despite trying to hide it beneath his unhinged god complex or pretend that he never cared about her at all. It's the entire basis for why he rejects Rin's attempts to strike up coexistence before his ego dissolves and his body goes on autopilot - he literally does not believe humans and demons can ever coexist because he's projecting his own pain and what happened between him and Yuri onto the entire world. It's even the basis behind why Beelzebub is opposing the rest of his family in the Illuminati to begin with (apart from the fact he can't eat yakiniku if the world ends).

The entire plot is literally Satan and his kids throwing a cosmic tantrum because they tried to forge relationships in Assiah, fucked them up MASSIVELY due to their own eldritch natures (even Iblis is implied to be coping in the manga due to the fact she had to watch her son grow old and she ended up killing him with her own hands because she couldn't bear the idea of watching him wither with the progression of time), and couldn't cope with the fact that Assiah =/= Gehenna. They're projecting their own pain onto the whole universe and lashing out because they're incapable of real change.

That is quite literally the manga plot. Yuri in the manga only agrees to stay with "Rinka"/Satan and bear his kids because she thinks it's the only way to keep him sedate and stop him from killing even more exorcists, of which hundreds had already died in his rampage by that point. She believed even then that with enough time to work on him, she could genuinely make him nicer and kinder. It's only after watching as he progressively destroys everything around him regardless of her wishes and when she learns during the process of birthing Rin and Yukio that he killed her adoptive family in his desire to acquire a body that she fully wakes up to the reality; that no, he never loved her and he was always a total selfish monster. This is implicitly a contributor to the post-partum stress that kills her.

It's only in the first anime where she willingly fucked Satan without any threat of duress and where Satan was actually seemingly a truly caring partner to her, if incapable of really comprehending people or emotions.

Satan is evil, but the way he's been written essentially ensures that would never have happened. The anime original shit happened well before we ever got manga details on him so it portrays him as nicer and his relationship with Yuri as more wholesome. Whilst the manga takes and turns that on its head to show that Satan started out as basically an infant with no real understanding of anything and probably couldn't even conceive of the idea of rape, let alone doing it to the target of his obsession. For all the manga plays up how extremely unnatural, alien and lacking in any comprehension of human morality he is, it does retain the fact that Satan did care for Yuri and wouldn't consider doing that to her back then - regardless of the atrocities he was already committing. The only things that change are the various details surrounding both and how Yuri treats him in both continuities.

There's also the fact that as written, a flat-out rape plot would likely have just resulted in Yukio and Rin being killed at birth instead of being allowed to grow up no matter what strings got pulled in their favor.

Say what you will about the manga backstory but the season 1 anime backstory makes Yuri seem psycho and/or evil and I don't think that was the intention. In the manga backstory, Yuri is horrified whenever Satan kills people. In the anime original backstory, when Yuri first meets Satan and sees him killing people, her first reaction is
