Can someone explain to me why do fujoshis love Enji Todoroki/Endeavor? He doesn't look bishounen/ikkemen. What is his secret?

I'm an oldfag manga reader (37) from Philippines and this is the first time I've seen a character with that appearance popular among fujoshis in Japan, South Korea, here, etc.
>>
I am very curious about that too. I know zero women that like Dragon Ball.
>>
>>283127575
He's an old sad dad with a hot twunk supporting him. Gay guys were lusting after him day one but pretty much that whole crowd started fawning over him after he became a sad dad
>>
>>283127575
That's really curious.

But I know, and the characters always were bishounen, androgenous or effeminate. Characters that look like Endeavor never were popular among women.
>>
>>283127575
He beat his wife.
Women love that shit.
>>
>>283128324
>Characters that look like Endeavor never were popular among women
This anon is right. Zero women cared about Hokuto no Ken or Dragon Ball in 90's.
>>
>>283128324
It's kinda odd isn't it? I think that may be in small part caused by a general detachment from physical labor in modern society, girls don't grow up seeing masculine men achieving things and being providers and protectors, so they don't attach their natural basis of attraction to masculinity as much?
I'm sure you could poke a thousand holes in that theory. But it does seem to me that women liking the androgenous pretty boys more is the stranger thing
>>
>>283128343
they also love deadbeat fathers that are also gambling addicts
>>
>>283128407
My theory is that the average japanese male is androgynous by default and can't look virile no matter how hard he tries, which is why they think that a man is only beautiful if he looks like a woman. Only a small minority of them look like a badass Samurai from an Akira Kurosawa movie.

Dadlust is a known quantity. Besides, Endeavor is still handsome, he just has a scar which does nothing to disrupt his chiseled features.
>>
>>283128378
Baki is a fujo magnet though
>>
>>283127575
I don't get it either. He's an ugly pig man.

not with the uncultured ones
>>
>>283129000
The farm girl likes muscular men
One victory for the "women need to be around physical labor more" theory
>>
>>283129036
here's a little fun historical fact that most people ignore: women were indeed around physical labor all the fucking time during most of human history because the housewife wasn't a thing before the industrial revolution. Poor women helped their husband in whatever their jobs were, and rich women helped to manage their husband's properties, but the middle class women was free to do fuck nothing with her free time.
>>
>>283129091
Yep, that's part of why I think it's at least a halfway decent theory
>>
>>283127575
BNHA would have been far better with him as the main character, even if it was no longer shonen. And that's not just because Deku is fucking garbage.
>>
>>283129281
we get it, rajesh. we don't need you in every mha thread

He's got incredibly superior genes. He's rich and powerful. He's virile. He keeps his woman firmly under control and bred her repeatedly.
That kind of dom / sub stuff makes women wet as hell.
>>
>>283127575
>why do gay shippers like a man with a lot of interpersonal development with various other men?
It's a mystery. More importantly, fujoshi (and women in general, really) aren't a monolith and different ones like different things. Common sense desu

>dom / sub
Please don't ever associate my fetish with your shitty evolutionary animal mating theories from 6th grade science again

that is still more in model than when Araki draws his old characters with his modern art style

He's liked by gay men, not fujos
>>
>>283127575
Fujos like him because they can ship him with Hawks. Alone he's not nearly that popular.
>>
>>283127575
Guys like endeaver are considered to be gay irl and fujos are into yaoi shipping.
>>
I wish I was built like Endeavor, but being 5'10" only gets you so far.

>Can someone explain to me why do fujoshis love Enji Todoroki/Endeavor
Why do anons begin to love "girl-failures" and milfs after reaching a certain age? After you have your answer, consider he's a dilf-failure.
He's like a stepping stone for fujos going from liking twinks to being fully into the Harry DuBois types, that fujos shift towards once they pass 30
Source: anecdotal second-hand observation from knowing one for 15 years

>What is his secret?
Absolute virility, wealth, status, technically single, and custody of the children
>>
>>283128453
>I can fix him
>>
>>283130381
Gay men are just socially functional fujos.
>>
>>283132557
Explain me then (socially dysfunctional gay man)
>>
>>283127575
He's the epitome of what women think they want: a successful but flawed hero man that suffers repercussions of decisions he makes without her input, gets humiliated, then comes crawling back to her contrite and begging her pardon for his mistakes, placing her in the dominant position in their relationship from then on because she will never let him forget his fuckups.
>>

Autism
>>
>>283128453
literally my father (minus the superhuman abilities). Was popular as fuck with women even though he was a piece of shit just like toji
>>
>>283127575
It's unironically because he's tortured and pathetic
He has turbo "I can fix him" energy
>>
>>283128324
You spent too much time around teenage girls. Older fujos and yumejos' tastes went all across the twink to bear spectrum.

Also, how can you be an oldfag and never see Genshiken? Ohno was a fujo with a thing for old salarymen fucking.
>>
>>283127575
Endeavour gets shipped with Hawks. They love their teamup in the HighEnd fight.
>>
>>283127575
>He doesn't look bishounen/ikkemen
He kinda does, more than All Might at least
>>
>>283129892
Fujos love the dynamics in Jojo, but not the designs. At least not in early parts.
As evidenced by the image you posted, in which Dio and Jonathan are almost as unrecognizable as they are in Araki's modern style.

He is literally the anime version of pic related. This is why he is popular among fujoshis.

>Why do anons begin to love "girl-failures" and milfs after reaching a certain age?
For the milfs thing, I do have my own theory although it's probably a bit schizo
A lot of young men nowadays have absolutely no experience with women and so they fantasize about the idea of an older, kinder woman showing them the ropes and being willing to take charge in the relationship. From my own limited experience with women, even the ones who have far more experience in relationships or with sex will expect you to take the lead because you're a man and that turns them on

Endeavour got popular after this fight and it was also hawks first appearance. I'm not surprised fujos ship them

Something I noticed is that the figure of the righteous virtuous hero rarely is popular with female fans compared to villains and anti-heroes. I can only assume that the reason for that is that the hero is already perfect and needs no fixing.
