Why doesn't anyone like older sister archetypes? Or they prefer the other archetypes over a smothering gentle older sister?

Ichika's pretty rare in that she's actually the same age as the protagonist and her being the onee-san doesn't define their relationship, but rather just gives it an added flavor. Girl is kind, beautiful, mature, hard-working, driven, laid-back, and teasing, more heroines in general like that should win, but apparently they are too good, so they have to lose.

>>283168344The problem with older sisters types is that authors rarely pair older heroines with the main character, so they lose most of the time no matter how good they are. Ichika breaks the mold a bit since she's the same age as the other heroines of her manga, but she couldn't escape her big sis role at the end, not helped by the fact the author decided to turn her into the villain for a while.
