I'm impressed w/ odas handling of garp rn but the only issue is why the WG didn't request for Garps removal and subsequent execution for attack and elder. There are definitely ways in which oda can handle it that makes sense like how garp is too valuable to the Marines and his insubordination was inconsequential. However if oda makes Garp a secret rev then I'd agree he completely destroyed the character in order to appeal to peoples criticism of Garps moral. What makes Garp a interesting character is his strong sense of duty and loyalty to the Marines. Making him a secret rev retroactively ruins his moral dilemma in marineford and most of the interesting discussion of his character.
