Here's another action scene that even as a dumb kid had me confused as fuckHere Shikamaru is being jumped (literally, they're in mid air) by the jobber trio, so he throws a flash bomb to extend their shadows so he can connect and control them.The thing is..not only they're in mid air, they're also on TREE BRANCHES (despite the fact Kishimoto for some absurd reason chose to draw the shadows and perspective as if they're on solid ground).Obviously, all the subsequent panels refrain from showing how the fuck the shadows connected the way they did since they're still on different tree branches, only showing them being projected from Shikamaru's body.Someone must have pointed this out in fan mail because the next chapter in the scene just after this he takes control of Tayuya by having the shadows go all the way around to the ground and climb back again the tree(which makes you wonder why the fuck he needed the flash for the jobbers in the first place if his shadow could stretch that much, but I digress).His editors had to be sleeping on the job because I cannot understand how they approved action scenes like these 200 chapters in.Anyway I'm gonna stop now because people already think I'm hating.

Sharingan on the other hand literally caused them demon spawns to keep killing each other in order to obtain the eternal mangekyo sharingan.
