The name was apparently a pun that made more sense in Japanese but still. iirc the mangaka had started to wrap up in either chapter 11 or chapter 14 so he was clearly demoralized by the early TOC. For it to survive now I think it would have needed more support in the TOC early on. The way the mangaka started wrapping up the story was a true point of no return, absolutely no way to continue if the TOC and sales turned out favorable. So much of the story was spent malingering in the endgame.
